Jordanelle

Lake, mountain views, easy access

Not far from Park City lies an outdoor paradise.  Aptly named the “Jordanelle” after the large body of water it surrounds, check out why it’s the hottest new area right now booming with construction!  It lies just south east of Park City.   This area however, is very large is size.  You will most often hear “Mayflower, Browns Canyon, Hideout, Tuhaye or Victory” which are all areas within in the Jordanelle.  You can easily access these “areas” around the Jordanelle either from SR 248 headed towards Kamas, the Mayflower exit off of Highway 40 or on the southern end SR 189.

There are a number of new home developments that have recently taken place around this man made lake. The Jordanelle area entirely sits within Wasatch County.  There is approximately 40 miles of shoreline around the lake.  You will find homes all around the perimeter of the Jordanelle but set back away from the shoreline as the lake is a state park.  Of particular recent interest is the eastern/northern portion called the Jordanelle Specially Planned Area otherwise known as JSPA.  This is slated to be extensively developed over the next coming years.  You can find read about it here: JSPA

Wasatch Springs

A new townhome development

If easy access is what you are looking for, Wasatch Springs fits the bill.  The newest in new townhome developments north of the Jordanelle, Wasatch Springs is now taking reservations.

Built by Salt Lake homebuilder, Holmes Homes these townhomes will be 3-4 bedrooms ranging in size from approximately 1500-2800 sq ft.  Prices will be starting around the mid 400,000s.

For more information on timing, reservation process and more contact Jeff Keye.  Jeff Keye has been specializing in new construction for the past decade and can help you through the home building process.

Why use a Realtor when buying a new home?

Building can often take up to a year or more of time from contract to completion. So having a Realtor on your side, helping you through the different phases of construction is beneficial. Home construction is still done by hand, so mistakes and issues will arise!   Having a professional there to help negotiate through the process is priceless. One thing to remember that not all Realtors are the same so if you are looking for buyer representation on new construction it’s important to find someone who isn’t going through the process with you for the first time as well! Seasoned new construction agents will know what to ask for on your first visit to model home.

Where in the Jordanelle?

Find a side that suits you!

The north features the Browns Canyon area which includes new townhome developments such as Black Rock Ridge and the Retreat at Jordanelle and large estate type neighborhoods like Deer Vista. The beauty of the northern part of the Jordanelle is the proximity to Park City, from this area you are less than 10 minutes from Main Street and Kimball Junction.

On the West side you will find prime access to Deer Valley and being freeway adjacent makes for speedy trips to the airport. You will also find easy access to Jordanelle State Park and the boating opportunities it presents.

The best part of the east side of the Jordanelle is the views. The views cannot be beat and the variety of vacant land, homes and condos are also in great supply. Hideout Canyon and Deer Mountain both feature large estate type homes, vacant land and condos.

On the south east portion you will find Victory Ranch and Tuhaye. Both of these private golf clubs are really something special. While further in distance from Park City, the privacy and unmatched golf experience more than make up for it.
